I have had my eye on Indonesian typographer and hand-lettering artist Mister Doodle for quite some time now. And for the last couple of years he’s been pushing out some truly smashing work. Here’s his latest project where he’s creating a new lettering piece for a whole year. That is quite the undertaking! Check out his Behance page and Instagram if you want to check out the new pieces coming out.

Can I ask what the best way to get that stamp texture in typography is? I’ve tried a couple different ways but I cant quite get the one I’m looking for.
    Thanks!

    • your best bet is to copy your vector illustration / text over to photoshop as a smart object. Once the text / illustration is in photoshop apply a mask to it and use a “grunge” or high res textured brush to remove tiny little details from the illustration. I hope that helped.
