24-years-old calligraphy artist Pokras Lampas from St. Petersburg, Russia, started off as a graffiti artist when he was just 16. After a couple of years in the street art scene he taught himself calligraphy and shortly after that he started to blend the two techniques together, a style commonly known today as “Calligraffiti”. A while back he released a series called “Calligraphy on Girls”, where he – yeah, you guessed it – actually uses the female body as a canvas. Beautifully captured by photographer Igor Koshelev this project got, as you probably can imagine, a lot of publicity in the media. Due to the lack of clothes we’re unable to show you any images from that series, but if you haven’t seen them already, just Google the title and they’ll should come right up. But what we can show you guys is over 20 other magnificent calligraphic designs by Mr. Lampas. Some are smaller, done on traditional canvases with paint and markers. And some are somewhat larger… Like rooftop large… And according to the video at the very end of this post, it’s the biggest calligraphy artwork in the world. And I personally don’t doubt that for a second.
