Ever since Apple launched their first smart watch more and more companies have been entering the space of connected watches. And most commonly they end up using a tiny screen as the watch face which has a tendency to drain the battery quite rapidly. Personally, I’ve never felt the need to read texts or see who’s calling directly on my wrist, and as a “watch guy” I actually prefer the classic look with simple numbers and dials.
It wasn’t until I came across the term “Hybrid Smartwatch”(that combines traditional watch design with smart functionality) that I actually could see myself getting a connected watch. One of the pioneers of this new hybrid space are Kronaby – A young Swedish company that creates absolutely stunning high quality connected time pieces. Their watches offers handy functions like filtered notifications, music & camera control and automatic adjustment of time zones whilst traveling. But the function I probably appreciate the most is the one that gives you a gentle reminder whenever you’ve been still for too long(I tend to get stuck behind a screen all day). Also, the fact that not having to charge the watch every night is of course also quite appealing.
Below you’ll find a couple of their beautiful watches and a video explaining some of the nifty functions.
