I hope you’re not suggesting that I copy your content? I follow heaps of great blogs but your’s aint one of them. And secondly you seem to submit pretty much all your stuff to F.u.N so I actually wouldn’t need to copy anything. All the images are linked to where they were found and if that site is my other design blog, http://serialthriller.com, the original sources should always be displayed by either clicking on the image, header or “Go to source” link.

I’m not suggesting anything, what I’m implying is that it’s quite a coincidence that work we’ve featured on Creativitea is, not even more than a week later, featured on FuN.

It’s a pity you don’t follow our blog, since our content proves to be high quality, since we can find much of it here.

Yes, it’s true we did submit some of our content to you, so you could include it in your posts and state the source underneath. You did that on a regular basis and we’re grateful for the attention it has brought to our blog.

But in the end, we can’t really say it’s our content, do we? We feature the work of great artists on our blog and apart from the website itself none of it really is our work or content ;-)

I hope we didn’t start of on the wrong foot.

      Kind regards,
      Ruud Voost

I see quite a lot of similar content on the different blogs that I visit. And whenever I find something that I feel would be suitable for F.u.N I always link back to that page to give that blog some recognition for finding the image.

I totally agree, the content is not ours in any way. But I spend sooo much time scanning the web to find the best pieces to my galleries. So when I say “mine” and “your” content I’m referring to the work behind finding it, not that the actuall content is ours. I know that there are a few blogs out there that just copy what I post without linking back, which is just disrespectful in my opinion. That’s why I get tend to get a tad irritated if someone is implying that I’m copying someone elses work without giving a link back.

I’ve built a system where I keep all the image info stored and categorised. Whenever I have enough material in a category I create a post with that topic. This means that images can be stored days, weeks and sometimes even months before they are published. So just because another blog published an image before me doesnt necessarily mean that I found it after that. But feel free to look up all the images that you guys published before me. Just follow the sources and you’ll be able to see exactly where the image originally came from.

I agree with you Daniel. The work searching for astonishing projects, art, images etc. indeed takes a lot of time and I can imagine that you felt irritated. I’m sorry for that, but I hope you can imagine that I did found it a bit suspicious to find the similarity in content especially with the timing.

The system you have built yourself must be quite awesome then! I didn’t know you handled it this way so I apologize for the whole ‘thing’.

          Thank you for clarifying.

          Kind regards,
          Ruud Voost

No worries, Ruud. Yeah, I completely understand your suspicions. As mentioned I’ve also been quite suspicious towards other blogs and often had that confirmed when they used the same images(same filename, size, weight and link) in the same order as I. Some of the images are even from local friends of mine from a pretty small city in Sweden, so it’s pretty unlikely that they found all that material by them self.

Those blogs aren’t serious in my opinion and I believe that you cant get successful by copying what others do. As they say: Karma is a bitch. ;)

But now I know that you and I are on the same page and feel similar to this blogging world. I wish you and Creativitea all the best. :)
