Creating a memorable logo may well be one of the most challenging tasks a designer can face. The success of an organization or brand can hinge on the effectiveness of a logo. So much information can be contained within those few shapes and lines. Here we present logos from designers who were able to rise to the challenge and produce exemplary work.

Showing logo iterations in gif format. I think I like it.

    Wow

I made almost an identical fox one about two years ago, thats the benefit of web presence I guess. http://dribbble.com/shots/598533-Foxden-Games-Logo

      Wow, almost identical.

Wow, a lot of ‘hipster’ style logos here. I really don’t see these as brand marks, rather they are just visual graphics representing the business. Brands should be unique, but if every brand mark looks almost identical with their slab serif and script font combo laid out against some simple icons and a few lines, then there’s going to be a whole lot of businesses that aren’t unique. I do agree that this style looks ‘nice’ and visually ‘appealing’ but that’s it. Very little thought and originality put into tying the design into the business. I’d like to see this vintage hipster style being used a little more sparingly, perhaps for businesses that truly represent that vintage style, such as vintage clothing stores, vintage furniture shops etc.

Can’t we just appreciate beauty without the need of judging them to its very core :) Even if they’re not originally a logo, we can at least appreciate, the time, the creation of someone else made. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Yeah you’re right sorry about that Brian. Got a bit carried away there. All the logos above are pretty nice, including the hipster ones :) Personally digging the Energy Australia and the Agnes Kovacs identity :)

Completely agree! I love this blog and I know hipster design is in, but from a professional design standard hipster isn’t what most clients are looking for when it comes down to business. Lets see some serious stuff please!

Vintage logo everywhere, textured logo everywhere :)
