Here’s yet another one of those artists that have been published in numerous inspiration galleries over the years, and haven’t yet gotten his own feature here on F.u.N. Well, until now that is…

We’ve seen the magnificent type and lettering work of Jordan Metcalf popping up all over the interweb and in big magazines for quite some years now. While most type designers tend to focus on a specific style or technique, Jordan seems to do the complete opposite by exploring multiple ways of doing things. And that’s probably the main reason why I and so many others finds his work really fresh and interesting.

Jordan Metcalf is a designer, illustrator and artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. Having spent the first few years of his career gaining experience in everything from book design to directing animated commercials he currently runs his own studio out of a collective studio space in Woodstock specialising in custom lettering and design projects & artwork. He has done work for many international clients and agencies and has exhibited extensively within South Africa and abroad. He was named an ADC Young Gun in 2013. – From Jordan’s webpage
